Jim & Gail - Portobello Road

Erin - Portobello Road

This morning we all got up from a refreshing night sleep.

Yesterday with the rain and cold in knocked us all out.

We had a nice dinner last night at The Avenue, and after dinner cocktails at the Claridge Hotel.

Today we spent a few hours walking the long streets of Portobello Road, a Saturday tradition of an open flea market.

Jim had one of his favorite hot dogs from the vendor grilling outside. Gail, Erin & I had lunch at a restaurant across from Harrods.

Time to nap from all the walking and fresh air. Today is great weather day with temperatures in the low 40's and no rain.

Tonight we reservations for dinner, then off to Trafalger Square to ring in the New Year.

Happy New Year.

Good walking day today. After all having a good night sleep, we left the apartment around 11 and headed over to the British Museum. Afterwards, we stopped right on schedule at 2 for lunch at the pub and a good pint. Weather today is cold, dreary and rainy..little more than usual.

Streets are very crowded. Not sure if it is tourist or the holiday break.

Taking a short rest before we head out to dinner.

We arrived here in London at 5:45 this morning. Took the tube to Knightsbridge and got here about 7A, just in time for the coffee shop to open. The apartment was not available until 7:30a.
Some painting has done and new living room furniture since our last stay.

We all took a nap until 2P to catch up on the jet lag.

Had a snack and of course a pint and strolled through Harrods. We will return there a few more times to shop.

Showering and going to our favorite restaurant Quaglinos for dinner.

Weather is brisk at 40 degrees, but dry.

Good to be back.
